Welcome to our School website! Nicholson Elementary School is located at 6006 South Peoria in the "Heart" of the Englewood Community. Our motto is "Meeting the Needs of Students." We serve approximately 600 students from pre-k to eighth grade that we encourage to help in rebuilding our village through knowledge.

Nicholson is named after Lillian R. Nicholson, the first African American Principal at this school Mrs. Nichlson paved the start of a promising future for many young boys and girls. We continue her legacy by providing our students with a strong foundation for their future.

Nicholson provides a variety of instructional programs and initiatives with our main focus being math and science. Additionally, we provide a literacy rich program that emphasizes reading and writing. We are committed to making sure our students leave Nicholson with the tools needed to survive future educational endeavors. Read more.
